School Linking Network
This is a funded Bucks County Council initiative to encourage children from schools within Bucks to link up to experience different communities and cultures, exploring diversity of identity through linking with other communities. It provides children & young people with ways to safely express their fears & aspirations. There is much evidence for the work of the schools linking network to show where linking work is done well the children who have been involved have improved confidence, self esteem and aspiration, increased communication skills, critical thinking & emotional intelligence.
Our school has linked with Stone Church of England combined school near Aylesbury. A class of year 5 children will be linking throughout the year - read their reports on the year 5 class page

February 2012
It is that time of year again & Sainsburys will be issuing vouchers from 15th February to 10th April.
We have used our vouchers in past years to allow our children to participate in activities they may not usually have access to - we have experienced ballroom dancing, martial arts & cheerleading. So please start collecting vouchers & send them into school - ask friends, family & neighbours to donate their vouchers too.

December 2011
Our school was nominated and shortlisted to three schools to receive the award for School of the Year for The Bucks Sport Award. Considering there are nearly 450 schools in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes (many being sports colleges), the expectations were not high. The awards took place at a beautiful venue in Milton Keynes and The School of The Year Award was finally presented to us by non other than the World and Olympic rowing champion Zac Purchase. What an excellent achievement for our school!! A huge thanks to all the children who are so keen to participate in activities at our school, the staff who enthusiastically give up their time so freely and especially to Mrs. Spooner our PE Co-ordinator, who organises the opportunities for the children. The plaque for this spectacular event will be on view in our display unit in the school hall. We are very proud of this achievement and thank Mrs. Spooner, her PE staff and the children for their participation in achieving this esteemed award | |
